Bigger & Better!

This year’s show was a stunning display of avante garde hair styles from the Oblique Team and the latest summer collection by one of New Zealand’s best young designers, Sera Lilly - All taking inspiration from colonial empresses and the African exotic. Colourful tropical prints, abstract florals and stylised tribal motifs combined within Sera's collection that was light, fun and carefree. Gorgeous shoes by Overland and stunning makeup by Phoenix completed the look. Glamorous dancers from Latin Fever revved up the crowd with two sexy high energy performances of Brazilian and Latin dance.

The Auction

Many luxury items were on offer including travel, accommodation, a house design, indulgent experiences, clothing, makeup, dental services, web design, beauty products and fragrances from Lancome, and of course hair beauty products from Kerastase & L’Oreal Professionnel.

Oblique Hair Spa owner Angela Foster-Nesbit said “Every year the Showcase gets bigger and better. Planning starts 8 months prior and involves many dedicated people who give their time and enthusiasm free of charge. From our gifted hairdressers, one very talented clothing designer & makeup artists to the organizing committee, assistants and a group of very very generous sponsors. Without them all, the show just could not happen. We are thrilled with our donation of just over $12,000 to the Cancer Society of NZ.”
