An evening of hair, fashion & fun for the New Zealand Breast Cancer Foundation
WOW what a night! We held the first ever Oblique Hair & Fashion Showcase in October and are proud to announce that over $3,000 was raised for the Breast Cancer Foundation.
Local TV celebrity and comedienne extraordinaire Michele A'Court hosted the evening in which each stylist presented 2-3 models to illustrate their interpretation of the coming trends for this summer. Stunning models graced the catwalk whilst live demonstrations of cutting and hair extensions captured the imagination of those in attendance. We saw soft curls connected to flowing fabrics and dramatic eyes added to natural lips.
The charity auction that followed saw many items going for prices well above their value as some of our very generous guests added donations to their winning bids. Comedienne and registered auctioneer Irene Pink entertained the crowd as the bidding wars raged and the champagne flowed.
After a fantastic response from those in attendance and our wish to share the fun with all we have decided that next years event will be open to all guests and the public.
